Important Travel Notes & Permit Guidelines
- Documents Needed: You must carry 8 passport-sized color photographs and your original ID Card (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport) for inner-line permit processing.
- Nathu La Pass & Zero Point: Excursions to Nathu La Pass and Zero Point are not included in the package cost. Cabs and permits must be arranged and paid for separately. Permit issue depends on military clearance, and the tour organizer holds no responsibility in case of permit denial due to weather/security conditions.
Tour Itinerary
Day 01Arrival at NJP / Bagdogra & Travel to Gangtok
Arrive at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) before 3:00 PM. Travel by comfortable non-A.C. vehicle to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim located at 5,000 ft (approx. 125 km, 5 hours). Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 02Gangtok to Lachung Alpine Valley
After breakfast, check out and drive in a local Jeep/Sumo up to Lachung located at an altitude of 8,600 ft (approx. 120 km, 6 hours). Enjoy lunch en-route. Check in at the hotel in Lachung in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 03Yumthang Valley Sightseeing & Return to Gangtok
After breakfast, take a short drive to Yumthang Valley (approx. 24 km from Lachung), known as the Valley of Flowers. Spend time in the meadows, enjoy lunch, and then start the return drive back to Gangtok. Check in at the Gangtok hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 04Tsomgo (Changu) Lake Excursion
After breakfast, set out in a local Jeep/Sumo for a day trip to the sacred Tsomgo (Changu) Lake located at 12,000 ft altitude. Enjoy the beautiful high-altitude scenery. Return to Gangtok in the afternoon for shopping and leisure walks. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 05Gangtok Local Sightseeing & Travel to Pelling
After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing in Gangtok using local Maruti Vans. After lunch, checkout and drive to Pelling, a tranquil hill station at 6,800 ft (approx. 130 km, 6 hours). Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 06Pelling Sightseeing & Travel to Darjeeling
After breakfast, explore Pelling local sights (Skywalk and waterfalls) in a sharing Jeep/Sumo. After lunch, check out and proceed to the world-famous tea capital, Darjeeling, located at 7,000 ft (approx. 115 km, 5 hours). Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 07Tiger Hill Sunrise & Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning at 4:00 AM, proceed by Jeep/Sumo to Tiger Hill to witness the iconic sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. Return for breakfast. Later, visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and local tea estates. Spend the evening shopping at the local markets. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 08Darjeeling to NJP / Bagdogra & Departure
After breakfast, check out of the hotel by 12:00 PM. Start the return drive back to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (approx. 90 km, 4 hours) for your onward journey hometown. Tour ends.
